Mailtem Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose and Scope)

These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "Terms") define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between users and the operator regarding the use of Mailtem (hereinafter referred to as the "Service"). These Terms apply to all matters related to the use of the Service.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. "Service" refers to all digital and online services, platforms, applications, software, content, and related features provided by the operator, which can be accessed and used through various devices (PCs, mobile devices, tablets, TVs, and other wired/wireless devices). The structure and functionality of the Service may change at the operator’s discretion, and the operator will make the best efforts to provide prior notice of such changes.
  2. "User" refers to any individual or entity that utilizes the Service under these Terms, regardless of whether they have registered for an account.
  3. "Member" refers to an individual who has registered for the Service, has been granted continuous usage rights, and receives information from the operator.
  4. "Account (ID)" refers to the identification credentials assigned by the operator to a Member for accessing and using the Service.
  5. "Password" refers to a combination of characters, numbers, and special symbols set by a Member for verifying their identity and ensuring account security.
  6. "Paid Service" refers to any service or feature that requires payment for access.
  7. "Payment" refers to the act of selecting a payment method and providing financial details to complete the transaction for a Paid Service.

Article 3 (Agreement to Terms and Amendments)

  1. Users must agree to these Terms in order to use the Service.
  2. The operator may amend these Terms as necessary and will notify Users of any changes through Service announcements. Continued use of the Service after amendments have been posted will constitute acceptance of the revised Terms.
  3. The operator may notify Users individually about modifications, the effective date, and the reasons for changes. Users should review the changes carefully before continuing to use the Service.
  4. If the Service undergoes significant changes, the operator will provide clear guidance to prevent misunderstandings. If necessary, explicit user consent may be required before applying changes.

Article 4 (Provision and Modification of the Service)

  1. The operator may change the methods of Service provision, usage environments, and access mechanisms at its discretion. When changes occur, Users will be informed in advance where possible.
  2. The operator may temporarily suspend or restrict Service operations due to system maintenance, emergency actions, or policy changes. In such cases, Users will be notified in advance.
  3. When changes occur, the operator will clearly notify Users of the modifications and take reasonable steps to ensure continued access to existing data and functionalities.

Article 5 (User Responsibilities and Restrictions)

  1. Users must comply with applicable laws and these Terms while using the Service.
  2. Users must not engage in activities that disrupt the operation of the Service.
  3. Users must not use the Service for illegal purposes. Violation of this clause may result in restrictions on Service usage.
  4. Users are responsible for managing their Account (ID) and Password and must not share or transfer them to third parties.

Article 6 (Service Restrictions and Suspension)

  1. If a User violates these Terms, their access to the Service may be restricted.
  2. The operator may temporarily suspend Service operations due to unavoidable circumstances, and prior notice will be given when possible.
  3. If a User does not log into the Service for an extended period, the operator may deactivate or delete the account.

Article 7 (Refunds and Payment Cancellations)

  1. If a User requests a refund after purchasing a Paid Service, the following refund policies apply:
    • A full refund will be issued if the Service was not provided or was rendered unusable due to the operator’s fault.
    • If a User requests a refund due to a change of mind, partial refunds may be issued based on the amount of the Service that has been used.
    • For subscription-based services, refund amounts will be calculated based on the remaining period.
  2. Refund requests must be submitted through the operator’s designated process and will be processed within a specified period.
  3. Payment cancellations and refunds are subject to the operator’s individual policies.

Article 8 (Disclaimers)

  1. The operator is not responsible for Service disruptions due to force majeure events, including natural disasters or system failures.
  2. Users are responsible for managing their Account (ID), and the operator is not liable for issues arising from negligence in account management.
  3. If significant changes occur in the Service, the operator will provide advance notice and sufficient explanations to Users.

Article 9 (Intellectual Property and Content Management)

  1. Users retain copyright ownership of content uploaded to the Service. However, the operator may remove or restrict access to content if necessary for operational reasons.

Article 10 (Governing Law and Dispute Resolution)

Disputes related to these Terms will be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Korea.

Article 11 (Miscellaneous Provisions)

  1. Any matters not specified in these Terms shall be governed by relevant laws and general operational standards.
  2. The operator may enter into separate agreements with individual Users when necessary.
